Cycling and running are arguably to two most popular forms of cardio. While both provide benefits to your health, there are a few differences.

Running Impact

Although running can be beneficial, it is also an EXTREMELY HIGH IMPACT form of cardio. The constant pounding on your ankles, knees and hips can cause serious and sometimes permanent damage to your joints. Studies show that for every STEP you take, 4 times your body weight is applied to your knees. This means someone who is 200 lbs applies 800 lbs of pressure to their knees EVERY STEP!

Cycling Impact

Indoor Cycling is one of the lowest impact forms of cardio. Due to the fact that you are in a stationary position, you never apply a “pounding” or “jolting” motion to your joints. Thus, providing a high intensity form of cardio WITHOUT applying any impact.
